Sydney has been assaulted with strong stormy weather lately, however Vivid Sydney the Light, Music and Ideas Festival continues to put a twinkle in the eyes of thousands.
Last night a few of the DCC gals and I hit the city to check out what the annual festival has on offer this year. We could not have picked a better night to go – being a weeknight the crowds were more than manageable and the weather was on point.
See our adventure below.
Stop 1: Martin Place
A great starting place to grab a bite to eat from the food trucks and see a few installations.
Stop 2: Customs House
Take 10 minutes and watch the Hidden Stories movie screened up on the beautiful Customs House building – great for all ages.
Stop 3: Steps of the Opera House
The interactive clouds at the bottom of the Opera House plays music from Wafia and Ta-ku when you dance underneath.
Stop 4: The Catherdral Lights
Located in the Royal Botanic Gardens – this is a must see!
Stop 5: Museum of Contemporary Art Australia
Stop 6: Sails of Sydney Opera House
The iconic Sydney Opera House is my personal favourite – best viewed from across the harbour by the Cruise Terminal.
We spent approximately three hours wandering around and had a fantastic experience! If you haven’t seen Vivid this year, get in quick before it ends on Sunday 19 June.
